Welcome to St Albans Camera Club
We are a small friendly club that meets every Tuesday 7:45pm for 8:00pm, at Jersey Farm Community Centre in St Albans. Our goal is to help all members improve their photography skills and knowledge, through a range of activities such as talks from external speakers, regular competitions, practical sessions and organised visits.
New members are always welcome whatever your experience or skills in photography. If you'd like to find out more, please use the contact page to send us a message. Alternatively, if there's a meeting in the hall you like the look of, just come along and introduce yourself (a small fee may be payable). Our existing members have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, so you'll be sure to find someone to help, and hopefully you'll be able to contribute your own views.
The next events are highlighted on this page, but check out the events page where you will find details of the whole programme.
We've just completed 4 very popular workshops at the 2025 St Albans Visual Arts Festival. Thank you to The Collective Gallery for hosting us, and to everyone who joined in so enthusiastically. See the blog below for the story...

Our two portrait workshops were a lot of fun. We all learned loads about using backgrounds, lighting, positioning and posing, and created some really nice images.
