Lecture – Theatre Photography

Cat Humpries will present her lecture:

My journey into Theatre Photography: From the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to Sunset Boulevard.

“From documenting young performers at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the 1990s to shooting vintage Hollywood portraits for Sunset Boulevard in 2019, in this camera club talk I’ll take you on a trip through my adventures in theatre photography. Including the equipment I use and images from publicity shoots, rehearsals and performances.”

There’s a link below to her web site, where she says: “I’m a freelance theatre, events & portrait photographer based near Watford, covering Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, North London and the home counties. I work with theatre and dance groups to photograph their performances and capture candid images of events for groups and organisations.

My images have featured in MyNews, Bucks Free Press, BBC News, BBC Sounds and The Guardian.

I’m also a trained camera club judge who does talks for photographic societies across the country and regularly run photography workshops.”
