The two remaining competitions the Albert Beale and Steve Ransom have been split and the rules are as below.
Albert Beale Trophy
The Albert Beale Trophy has been expanded slightly this year to “Reflections”, these can be any type of reflections, but the reflections must be the main element of the pictures. The competition will be held on the 4th May 2021 and upto 4 entries can be put in by each member. Images are jpgs within the envelope 1600×1200. The filenames are of the format “Title of Image”.jpg and submitted in Dropbox in the normal way.
Steve Ransom Memorial Trophy
As you all know Steve Ransom passed away last year and we decided to have a competition in his memory. Steve had a wide repertoire in Photography and it was not immediately obvious which genre the competition should be based on. In the main his Photography was centred around Architecture/Landscape/Nature themes and this is the overall source of competition. Each year a more specific theme will be selected from this overall set and the competition will be based on that. This year there have been limited opportunities for us to get out and about so the theme is “Local Architecture”, that is local to where you are, and the Architecture must form the main part of the pictures, but can be a detail or overall building(s), (or man-made structures). The competition will be held on the 18th May 2021 and upto 4 entries can be put in by each member. Images are jpgs within the envelope 1600×1200. The filenames are of the format “Title of Image”.jpg and submitted in Dropbox in the normal way.
